Chisapani Nagarkot hike is also called Chisapani Nagarkot Trek or Sundarijal, Chisopani, and Nagarkot, the trek provides flavors of the amazing landscapes and limit adventure. Chisapani Nagarkot Hike begins from UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu and takes a short drive to Sundarijal, which starting point of this hike, it's also called the nearest trek from Kathmandu Valley. Similarly, the trail enters the Shivapuri National Park you will get to see flora and fauna, then we go through a big watershed which provides 40 percent drinking for Kathmandu Valley peoples. After 6-7 hours walking through the jungle arrives at Chisopani where you can get every moment cold weather so that sway it's called Chisopani. Then trek goes to a wonderful place of Nagarkot, it's an incredible place to see sunrise and panorama mountains views.  Finally, our hike will be to (a UNESCO heritage site) Changu Narayan temple, which is a sacred religious site of Hinduism. After visiting the Changu Narayan temple, we take a scenic drive back to Kathmandu.

As you arrive at the Tribhuvan International Airport, you will get greeted by the representative of Himalayan Frozen Adventure. He/she will take you to the hotel that we have already booked for you in the advance. You get informed about the evening plan with some spare time to relax.

To welcome you, the company has organized a traditional welcome dinner along with cultural dance. You will meet with other team members over dinner and end the day with lots of laughter.

After breakfast, we take a short scenic drive to Sundarijal then our hike will be started. Our trail climbs up to Shivapuripuri National park. During the hike, we cross the amazing waterfall, village, and forest, where we'll see the different kinds of wild animals. After 4 hours walking finally, we arrive in Chisapani and we enjoy the panorama Himalayan and sunset view. We spend overnight here.

Today in the morning we see the incredible sunrise view then we take breakfast. We start our hike to Nagarkot, which takes 5 hours to reach. Through the hike, we go downhill where we see a beautiful village and a big forest. Our hike stops a few minutes to Chauki Bhanjyang, where we take our delicious lunch. After 5 hours of walking, we arrive in Nagarkot, where we spend overnight.

Early in the morning, we take a short hike to Nagarkot top to see the amazing sunrise and Himalayan panorama view. Nagarkot is a viewpoint, where we see all of Kathmandu valley. After exploring the viewpoint we back to Hotel and we take breakfast. After then we start a hike to Chagunarayan temple, where we'll found Hindu religion culture. After exploring the Chagunarayan, we’ll take a scenic drive to Kathmandu.

Chisapani Nagarkot hike Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory to have to join an adventurous trip in the Himalayas. It is for your safety. The travel insurance must cover things like illness, medical emergencies, accidents, death, trip cancellation, and loss of personal baggage & items. All costs for Emergency Evacuation must be paid in cash in Nepal unless an insurance company has agreed to pay all the cost on your behalf. Make sure that your travel insurance covers activities in the Himalayas if you are participating in them.

*Note: Foreigners are not allowed to purchase an insurance policy in Nepal. So make sure to purchase good travel insurance in your country, and it is your responsibility to check whether your insurance policy is adequate or not.

At the Kathmandu have included only breakfast. During the Chisooani Nagarkot Hike, all meals will be provided. In this region, we can enjoy Nepalese food with international cuisine like Tibetan, Continental, Indian, Tibetan, Italian, etc. Through the trek, we have breakfast/lunch at the teahouse and Dinner will be at the lodge. Passport & Visa

A passport with at least six months of validity from the return date is mandatorily needed. You can get the Nepalese visa from the Nepalese Embassies or Consulate in your country. You can also get the Nepalese visa upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Do know that there are few countries that have to apply for the Nepalese visa from their own country. Obtaining your visa is entirely your responsibility.

While booking, make sure to put full and correct passport information so that we can get all the necessary permits, tickets, and pay fees on your behalf. If you do not provide the correct information when you make your booking, we will not be able to make the necessary bookings on your behalf and cannot be held responsible.


Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS)

AMS or altitude sickness is one of the main risks while traversing in the high altitude. The main region behind getting AMS is when the body doesn't adjust to the lower level, and the result can be deadly. So it is very important to take proper measures on time. Gaining altitude with constant pace and proper acclimatization days will help reduce the chances of getting AMS.

Similarly, you also have to keep yourself hydrated during the trek, therefore, drink enough water and avoid alcoholic drinks as it dehydrates the body. If you are planning to trek in one of the adventurous trails of Nepal then do keep above things in your mind.

Preventive measures

  • Inform your guide immediately if any of the symptoms you see
  • Do not push yourself
