From Tikhedhunga, you climb stone steep to beautiful Magar village Ulleri with enjoying the surrounding landscapes and peaks. After having delicious breakfast at Pokhara Hotel, you take a short scenic drive through the Prithvi Chowk and cross beautiful Lumle village to Nayapul (1050m), which is the starting and ending points of this trek. From Nayapul, the trail follows along the Modi River and passes the lush forests with small stream. After crossing the beautiful villages of Birethanti and Hille, you reach Tikhedunga for overnight stay.

Leaving Tikhedunga behind, you cross a bridge over the Modi River then climb stone steep to Ulleri, which can be a little challenge as well as you can see spectacular views of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna from Ulleri village. Then you walk on Magar village of Banthanti where you can enjoy to see wonderful peaks view of Machhapuchhre Mountain (6997m), Hiunchuli Mountain (6441m) and Annapurna South Mountain (7219m). Then the trek goes through the dense forests of rhododendron, bamboo, and oak to Nangethanti. After a short hike from Nangethanti, you reach the lovely village Ghorepani. Where you stay overnight at the trekking lodge.

Today is the most exciting day of this trekking. Wake up early morning and be ready to hike. Around one hour of walking from Ghorepani, you reach Poon Hill and don't miss the amazing sunrise. Top of the Poon hill is the most beautiful place of Annapurna area. Then you will see the golden sunrise view of the Annapurna mountain and fantastic panorama peaks of Annapurna I, Fishtail, Dhaulagiri ranges, and many more others. After exploring the Poon Hill, the trail descends to Ghorepani lodge for breakfast, then trekking heads towards to Ghandruk. The hike from Ghorepani to Ghandruk is of 6 hours. As well as you pass the beautiful green forests, small teahouses, and Tadapani village. In the evening, there you visit the local village, Gurung museum, several lodges, monastery, and temple around the Ghandruk. Overnight you stay at trekking lodge.

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory to have to join an adventurous trip in the Himalayas. It is for your safety. The travel insurance must cover things like illness, medical emergencies, accidents, death, trip cancellation, and loss of personal baggage & items. All costs for Emergency Evacuation must be paid in cash in Nepal unless an insurance company has agreed to pay all the cost on your behalf. Make sure that your travel insurance covers activities in the Himalayas if you are participating in them.

Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS)

AMS or altitude sickness is one of the main risks while traversing in the high altitude. The main region behind getting AMS is when the body doesn't adjust to the lower level, and the result can be deadly. So it is very important to take proper measures on time. Gaining altitude with constant pace and proper acclimatization days will help reduce the chances of getting AMS.

Similarly, you also have to keep yourself hydrated during the trek, therefore, drink enough water and avoid alcoholic drinks as it dehydrates the body. If you are planning to trek in one of the adventurous trails of Nepal then do keep above things in your mind.

The climatic condition of Nepal differs from place to place depending upon geographical regions.
