Yes, you need a guide for the Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley trek as it is listed as a restricted area of Nepal. The Manaslu Restricted Area starts from Jagat to Larkya La pass.

The difficulty level of the Manaslu trek is between moderate and strenuous. It isn't considered the hardest. But, continuous ascending and descending throughout the trail, can test your limits and endurance.
