These conditions we make extra or rest day, which is not available in this itinerary but if you have time then it is possible to make more extra day at trekking. You have to pay a package for extra days

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

After landing at the airport, you can meet with one of our team representatives at the airport. He will transfer you to the hotel. Rest and get freshened up. Later, in the evening, you meet with other team members at the welcome dinner organized by the company. End your day exploring around the bustling streets of Thamel.

Day 02: Fly to Lukla, trek to Phakding [2,651m] [35 minutes flight] & [3-4 hours trek]

Today, you fly to Lukla. The flight will be short and scenic. Upon reaching Lukla, you will meet with the rest of the crew members and begin trekking towards Phakding. Descending through the forested trail, following a stream, you reach Phakding.

Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar [3,440m, 6 hrs]

After having breakfast, we continue our journey to Namche Bazaar. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River and enjoys suspension bridges. Hillary Suspension bridge is the most famous in Khumbu, which we cross then we enter the Sagarmatha National Park where is permit will be registered. The trail is challenging climb steep to a dense forest after complete challenging we arrive in Namche Bazaar. This is one of the best towns in the Everest region, where we spend overnight.

Day 04: Rest and acclimatization

You spend the day exploring around and interacting with locals & fellow trekkers. There are few short hike options from Namche Bazar that take you to viewpoints like Everest View Hotel or Syangboche Airstrip from where you can see stunning views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Nuptse, Island Peak, etc. You can also visit the Everest Photo Gallery and Sherpa Culture Museum to learn more about Sherpas.

Day 05: Trek to Tengboche [3,860m, 5 - 6 hours]

After breakfast, we cross the Dudh Kosi river and pass through the rhododendron forest with small Sherpa Valley. Our trail will start climb steeply, where we get the Tengboche forest. Finally, we arrive in Tengboche, where we spend our night.

Day 06: Trek to Dingboche [4,360m, 5-6 hrs]

After having breakfast, we explore the Tengboche monastery. The trails through pass the easy path of rhododendrons and conifers lush forest. After crossing the Lmja River we have a 2 option to choose the trail (lower and upper Pangboche routes), so we choose the upper trail, which gives us amazing Himalayan views. We'll visit the Pangboche monastery and cross the Imja Valley and Lobuche River. Finally, we arrive in Dingboche, where it is a good facility for Accommodation, Meals, and Lodge.

Day 07: Acclimatization day

Today is your second rest day in Dingboche village. For successful completion of the journey, it is very important to take a few rest days in between the journey to acclimatize yourself with the altitude. The best thing about these rest days is you will have more time to explore the village and spend time with locals. Dingboche is a beautiful village enclosed by stone walls to protect cultivating fields. You go on a short hike to Nagarjun Hill that offers spectacular views of Mt. Makalu, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Cholatse, Mt. Tawache, etc.

Day 08: Trek to Duglha [4,600m, 3-4 hours]

Today is going to be a short trekking day. From Dingboche, you trek on a wide path enjoying stunning views of the Himalayan mountains. The trail further gets narrow and takes you to Dughla for a night stay. It is a small village with prayer flags all around the villages.

Day 09: Trek to Lobuche [4,940m, 3-4 hours]

From Dughla, the trail ascends to the steep moraine of Khumbu Glacier. Passing through the rugged trail, you reach Chupki Lhara from where you get to see stunning views of snow-capped mountains. Further, the trail descends to the moraine and moves towards Lobuche. Along the way, you get to see views of Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Khumbutse, etc.

Day 10: Trek to Gorak Shep & trek to Everest Base Camp [5,360m] then back Gorak Shep [5,160m, 6 - 7 hours]

We climb to the Gorak Shep, where we check our lodge for the night. The trail continues to climb Everest Base Camp. When we pass the pyramid sign, then we can found views of Mount Pumori, Mount Mahalangur, Mount Lingtern, Mount Khumbutse, and Mount Nuptse. After short climbing, we can get snowy mountain vista of 360 degrees. Through rock climbing and glacial trails, we reach the Everest Base Camp, which is our main destination. We can enjoy and explore the base camp, and then we back to Gorekshep.

Day 11: Hike to Kala Pattar [5,545m] & trek back to Pheriche [4,358m, 7-8 hours]

Today is a challenging day for us. Early in the morning, we take a short hike to Kala Pattar. Few hours walking through the rock we arrive at Kala Pattar's viewpoint. This place is best to see the sunrise view. After exploring the views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori, Ama Dablam, and Kala Pattar area, we return to Gorekshep for taking breakfast. After breakfast, we go to Pheriche, where we spend our overnight.

Day 12: Trek back to Namche Bazaar [3,440m, 5-6 hours]

Following the Imja River, we will trek back to Namche Bazar. The trail will take us to Tengboche, and from here, we descend down to Phungki Thanka. Further, we will pass by Kyangjuma and reach Namche Bazar. We will spend our days relaxing in our hotel or enjoying food in one of the best cafe/restaurants in Namche.

Day 13: Trek to Lukla [2,652m, 7-8 hours]

After having breakfast, we cross the Dudh Koshi River and suspension bridge. Following the Bhote Koshi Rivers then we reach Monjo Valley and Phakding. When you can cross the open plains, Sherpa village, prayer stones, flapping prayer flags, rhododendrons, and pine forests, then we reach Lukla valley.

Day 14: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu [1,350m, 35 minutes]

Wake up early in the morning and have your last breakfast enjoying heart-warming views of the Himalayan landscape. You fly back to Kathmandu. Upon landing at the airport, you move to the hotel. The rest of the day is leisure. You can do whatever you want. Later, in the evening, you will have a farewell dinner with the team members and end your journey in Nepal.

Accommodation of Everest Base Camp Trek

Everest Base Camp Trek accommodations are Lodge and Teahouse. Around Kathmandu, we can find a good facility with comfortable accommodation at the Hotel. The Everest Base Camp Trek all accommodations are on the twin-shared basis. During the trek, Himalayan frozen Adventure will manage room with attached washrooms. In the teahouse, we have to share the toilet. Single room is available in Kathmandu and the lower elevation trekking region but might be impossible to higher elevations.

Meals of Everest Base Camp Trek 

At the Kathmandu has included only breakfast. During the Everest Base Camp Trek, all meals will be provided. In the Everest region, we can enjoy Nepalese food with international cuisine like Tibetan, Continental, Indian, Tibetan, Italian, etc. Through the trek, we have breakfast/lunch at the teahouse and Dinner will be at the lodge. You can choices different kinds of breakfast, lunch, and dinner by the menu. 

Everest Base Camp Trek drink water

The Everest region can get normal free tap water, for this water you have to use purification medicine. bottled water or boiled water also available to buy at lodges and teahouse. Per day you have to drink about 4-6 liters water for your health.

Everest base camp trek weather

Everest base camp trek is perfect weather in autumn and spring, this clear weather reason there can get an amazing Himalayans view and fresh weather, where many trekkers choose to enjoy this season for the Everest trek. In the December and January almost be -18C cold at Base camp and few trekkers only dare to trek these months but in the morning these months also be clear weather.

Everest Base Camp Trek Travel Insurance

Everest Base Camp Trek Travel insurance is mandatory to have to join an adventurous trip in the Himalayas. It is for your safety. The travel insurance must cover things like illness, medical emergencies, accidents, death, trip cancellation, and loss of personal baggage & items. All costs for Emergency Evacuation must be paid in cash in Nepal unless an insurance company has agreed to pay all the cost on your behalf. Make sure that your travel insurance covers activities in the Himalayas if you are participating in them.

Best Time to go Everest Base Camp Trek

The climatic condition of Nepal differs from place to place depending upon geographical regions. One can have warm and hot wear in the terai whereas can observe the chilling arctic-like weather in the Himalayas. Nepal’s weather is influenced by a maritime and continental factor and has four different seasons, Autumn (September to November), followed by Winter (December to February), Spring (March to May), and finally, there is Summer/Monsoon (June to August).

The best time to go on an Everest Base Camp Trek in the Himalayas is in Spring (March to May) and Autumn (mid-September to November). These are the best times to go on any treks and climbing trips because of stable weather and a moderate climate. There is only one place in Nepal, where you can go trekking in even monsoon (July to mid-September) and that is Upper Dolpo. This region lies in the rain shadow of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges and therefore does not receive rainfall in the monsoon.
